Indiana Landmarks Says Holiday Perfect Time To Explore French Lick And West Baden Springs Hotels

(FRENCH LICK) - The holidays are a perfect time to explore the historic French Lick and West Baden Springs Hotels, each spectacularly decked out for the season.

Indiana Landmarks leads one-hour guided tours that highlight the fascinating stories and breathtaking restorations. While there take in some other holiday sights.

Lights Take Flight

Holiday Projection on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through January 5 at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the front lawn of the French Lick Springs Hotel.

New for the holidays in 2018 is "Lights Take Flight," a projection light show that uses the front of French Lick Springs Hotel as its "living canvas." Lights, music, flying graphics and a story of Santa and Sprudel (the West Baden gnome) are featured in each 10-minute show.

Tours continue daily through December - except Christmas Day.

West Baden Light Show

Nightly through January 6 at 9:05 p.m. in the West Baden Springs Hotel Atrium

This special show playing every night throughout the 50 Days of Lights is a sight to behold. West Baden Springs Hotel's atrium comes to life with a festive light show synced with a medley of favorite Christmas songs. It's a blend of sights and sounds sure to fill you with the spirit of the season. The seven-minute holiday light show begins at 9:05 every night.

Christmas Village

The Christmas sights are a must-see all throughout the 50 Days of Lights. New for this year, be sure to check out the gingerbread replica of French Lick Springs Hotel amid the traditional decorations, trees, and lights adorning the second level of the Event Center.

While you're there, be sure to stop at Indiana Landmarks' two retail shops, where your purchases support preservation.

Dickens Carolers

Saturdays, December 1 - December 22 • 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the West Baden Springs Hotel Atrium.

On four Saturdays in December the Dickens Carolers perform in the true spirit of the season. Named for the 1843 Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol," these marvelous strolling singers wear costumes from the period - complete with women in flowing velvet dresses and muffs while the men are attired in top hats and tails. It's spectacular to hear and behold.

Santa Claus Meet and Greet

Saturdays through December 22 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the French Lick Springs Hotel on the Second Level of Event Center.

Families with children are welcome to stop by and say hello to jolly old St. Nick. He will be available to hear your Christmas wishes and pose for pictures.

Breakfast with Santa

Saturdays, in December through December 22 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the French Lick Springs Hotel in The Grand Colonnade.

Enjoy breakfast with a side of Santa! Catch the jolly guy himself mingling with guests at The Grand Colonnade, and maybe even snap a quick picture with Santa as he makes his morning rounds.

Story Time and Cookie Decorating with Mrs. Claus

Fridays and Saturdays through December 22 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the French Lick Springs Hotel in The Grand Colonnade.

Children can spend time with Mrs. Claus, enjoy a holiday story and help with Christmas cookie decorating. Be sure to mark this complimentary event on your holiday to-do list.

Sundays through December 23 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the KidsFest Lodge. The cost is $10.

Your little elves will get the chance to stuff their own stuffed animal and meet a special visitor as well. Santa Claus will be making an appearance at the KidsFest Lodge and chatting with kids as they craft their own stuffed creations.

Winter Break Bounce Bash

Monday, December 24 and Sunday, December 30 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall.

There will be bounce houses, video games, music, yard games, and crafts. Children of all ages are welcome. Must be supervised by an adult.

Christmas Dinner in Sinclair's
