Church Choirs Coming Together For Christmas Cantata

(JACKSON CO.) - The combined choirs of Brownstown First Baptist Church and Vallonia Christian Church will present the cantata “Joy, Unspeakable Joy!”

The first performance will be Sunday at the Baptist Church, at 1095 South State Road 135, in Brownstown.

A second performance will be held Sunday, Dec. 23 at the Christian Church, at 2344 South Main Street in Vallonia.

Christmas is a time for people to rejoice in the birth of Jesus Christ - the real reason for the season.

The joy people receive of that holy birth will be shared through song and narration.

The public is invited to share in this free celebration.

Refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall following the program.

The narrator is Wayne Killion, and the director is Sandy Sunderman.

Members of the choir are Lewann Burrell, Mary Beth Covert, Marlyn Meahl, Amy Hartley, Debra Sweeney, Mary Lou Grider, Rita Bennett, Kaylee Bennett, Mischell Ferguson, Tina Wingler, Anita Sturgeon, Gretchen Booher, Larry Carmicheal, Scott Erwin, John Spurgeon, Hunter Curry, Jim Luttrell, Metro Kohlmeier, Tim Warren, Jerry Martin, Chris Criminger, Larry Covert and Dick Burrell.


The minister of First Baptist Church is Scott Erwin, and Chris Criminger is the minister at Vallonia Christian Church.
