Last updated on Monday, December 10, 2018

(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington woman was injured in a crash Saturday night on 16th Street.

According to a Bedford Police report, 22-year-old Angel Sherrard complained of shoulder and upper arm pain.

Police say 21-year-old Christopher Sayers of Bloomington was traveling west on 16th Street going the wrong way on the one-way street. Sayers told police he had just moved to Indiana from Arkansas and was unaware he was traveling the wrong direction.

At the same time, 65-year-old Charles Reynolds of Bedford was traveling south on M Street and had a green light to proceed through the intersection when his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup struck Sayers' 2007 Dodge Caliber.

Police say Sayers was unaware of the traffic light because he was traveling the wrong way on 16th Street.

Sherrard was a front seat passenger in Sawyers' car. She was transported by an IU Health Hospital ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
