(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured in an accident on Thursday morning on State Road 158 West.
According to a Lawrence County Sheriff's Department report, 72-year-old Eileen Milka of Bedford complained of head pain.
Police say Mikla was traveling west on State Road 158 when she lost control of her 2008 Ford Freestyle on the wet roadway. The car slid off the highway and collided with a trash tote belonging with B&D Waste Removal and then hit a fence and utility pole.
Mikla was able to exit the vehicle before deputies arrived on the scene.
She was treated and evaluated by an IU Health Hospital ambulance crew at the scene. Her husband then transported her to a local hospital for a medical evaluation.
