(WASHINGTON) - A State Board of Accounts investigation discovered missing funds and an investigation into the former manager of Lena Dunn Elementary School cafeteria.

The State Board of Accounts report issued on Friday alleges Tracy Cissell, who worked as manager of the cafeteria from March 2017 through January 2018, did not make timely deposits of checks into the school lunch funds.

Between March 2017 and January 2018 the cafeteria received $9,668.59 in deposits, but the report showed that Cissell only deposited $6,808.88, leaving a shortage of $2,859.17.

According to the release, $1,636.10 was recovered in January 2018. Cissell later paid another $903.32 in restitution, leaving the account short $320.29.

The State Board of Accounts charged Cissell with $1,799 in special investigation costs. Bringing her totaled owed to $2,119.29.

The State Board of accounts shared their findings with the Washington County school corporation, police, the Washington County prosecutor, and the State Attorney General's Office.
