Share The Christmas Spirit By Filling A Shoebox For A Child

Last updated on Tuesday, November 13, 2018

(BEDFORD) - Bedford families are embracing the true joy of Christmas this year by filling empty shoeboxes with simple items - like a toothbrush, a washcloth, a soccer ball and pencils - and sending them to children in need.

This week, you can make a difference in a child's life by participating in the Samaritan's Purse project Operation Christmas Child. From November 12th through 19th, gift-filled shoeboxes will be collected at drop-off locations around town, like at the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church Bedford or Fayetteville Baptist Church.

These shoeboxes will be a tangible expression of God's love to children around the world affected by war, disease, disaster, poverty, and famine. It may be a busy time of year, but you DO have time to change a child's life.
