Sgt. Chris Faulkenberg Will Become Chief Deputy At Dubois County Sheriff's Department

(DUBOIS) - Effective Jan. 1, Sgt. Chris Faulkenberg will be promoted to chief deputy at the Dubios Sheriff Department.

The 11-year veteran of the sheriff's department will replace Deputy Tim Lampert who has served in that capacity since 2011.

Sheriff-elect Tom Kleinhelter announced that Deputy Lampert, a 27-year veteran at the department, will be assigned to the Northeast Dubois School Corporation as the new school resource officer.

Jesus Monarrez will replace Kleinhelter as the department's detective sergeant. Monarrez completed a written test and went through an interview process with the department's merit board before being assigned the position. He will continue to serve as one of the department's K-9 officers.

Sgt. Stuart Wilson will maintain his position at the patrol sergeant with the department.
