(SALEM) - The Salem Board of Public Works & Safety approved the installation of a mountain bike trail at Lake Salinda.
The trail - which would roughly be four to six miles long - would draw bikers to Salem and showcase the area's natural beauty.
There will be no cost for the project. Volunteers will install the trail using mostly hand tools. No trees would be removed only brush and saplings.
The trail will be multi-purpose and can be used by hikers and joggers.
Both the Board of Works and the Common Council approved the idea.
