Parent Talks: Serving Students With Dyslexia In Public Schools

(BLOOMINGTON) - On Wednesday, November 28th, the MCCSC will host a discussion on serving students with dyslexia in public schools.

The event will be held at the MCCSC Co-Lab on 553 E. Miller Drive and is from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Did you know that it is estimated that 15-20 percent of the US population has some of the symptoms of Dyslexia? This type of Specific Learning Disability impacts how students are able to read and learn new information.

Those attending will learn more about Dyslexia the disorder, how MCCSC supports students, and how new legislation will impact what supports look like next school year.

Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in the discussion about this important topic.

This event will be streamed live on Facebook for those who cannot attend.
