(WASHINGTON) - Entries are being accepted for the 2018 Daviess County Christmas Parade.
This year's parade will take place on Saturday, December 1st starting at 6 p.m. with the lineup for the lighted parade starting at 5 p.m. near Northeast 7th Street and Bedford Road.
The theme of this year's parade is "Toys, Trains and Candy Canes."
Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded. Entries must be decorated with lights to be eligible for prizes.
So that children won't be confused, the parade committee asks that Santa's not be part of any parade entry. Santa will make his appearance at the end of the parade line-up.

There is no fee to enter and although registration is not required, it's highly encouraged.
