Nominations Now Open For 2019 Educators Of The Year Awards In Monroe County

(BLOOMINGTON) - The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce Franklin Initiative announces nominations are now open for the 2019 Educators of the Year Awards.

This event recognizes local teachers, administrators, and programs that make positive impacts on local youth.

Anyone may make a nomination -- students, parents, school colleagues, and the general public.

The 2019 Educators of the Year Awards will be presented on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at the Monroe Convention Center.

Outstanding Educator

Recognize an individual teacher, program director, counselor, administrator or instructional staff at any state-accredited school within Monroe County.

Bloomington-based Solution Tree will donate to each awardee an all-expenses-paid in-service to any Solution Tree training seminars offered throughout the U.S., plus $500 cash to the awardee's school.

Leading Light Award

Recognize an innovative or exemplary program that enhances our education community at any state-accredited school within Monroe County.

Deadline to make a nomination is Wednesday, January 9th at 5 p.m.
