Medication-Assisted Treatment Center For Opioid Addiction Opening Second Location In Bloomington

(BLOOMINGTON) - A medication-assisted treatment center for opioid addiction is opening its second location in Monroe County next month.

The Herald-Times reports Bloomington office of Groups Recover Together will be one of three in the state to offer its clients weekly prescriptions of naltrexone. The prescription pills are a generic form of Vivitrol, which is an injection given monthly that blocks opioid-receptors in treating opioid addiction and alcoholism.

On Tuesday, Groups staff hosted an open house at the Bloomington office in Suite 3 of the Landmark Crossing building at 1355 W. Bloomfield Road. It will open its doors to clients on Dec. 17.

The first location is at 4633 W.Richland Plaza Dr, Suite G.

Monday - 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Tuesday - 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday - 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Thursday - 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
