Last updated on Monday, November 5, 2018

(PAOLI) - A Lafayette man was sentenced to 60 years in prison after he was found guilty of shooting a French Lick man.

Orange Circuit Court Judge Steven Owen sentenced Tommy Hinds to the maximum sentence for the attempted murder of Billy Craft and being a habitual offender.

The 2016 shooting left Craft seriously injured.

Police says Hinds drove from Lafayette to see Craft before shooting at him on his porch.

Police allege another man, Perry Clouse, was with Hinds at the time of the incident. Clouse is scheduled to face a jury on an attempted murder charge Nov. 13 in Orange Circuit Court.
