INDOT Making Changes To Roadside Management Program, New Opportunities For Contractors

(INDIANAPOLIS) - INDOT is making changes to their roadside management program, and there will be new opportunities for prequalified contractors to bid on work in January and February of 2019 related to roadside maintenance.

Contract opportunities will include the following:

LITTER AND DEBRIS REMOVAL - NEW Work Type 0189
6 contracts totaling approximately 640 centerline miles of litter and debris removal from State right-of-way

ROADSIDE MOWING - Work Type E(S):
6 contracts totaling approximately 640 centerline miles of urban area mowing
6 contracts totaling approximately 760 centerline miles of interstate mowing, trimming and litter collection
29 contracts totaling nearly 10,000 centerline miles of mowing and trimming on US and State highways

VEGETATION MANAGEMENT - Work Type E(N): requires OISC Commercial Applicator, Category 6 License
6 herbicide contracts totaling 11,000+ centerline miles of broadcast and spot treatments to control noxious and invasive weed species

TREE TRIMMING AND REMOVAL - Work Type 380
6 tree risk mitigation contracts to include trimming and removal
