(ORLEANS) - The deadline is fast approaching for entries in this year’s residential and business Christmas Lighting Contest, sponsored by the Orleans Chamber of Commerce.
The contest is open to all residents and business owners of Orleans and anyone within a five-mile radius of the community.
Entry forms may be found inside The Orleans Progress-Examiner or can be picked up from Orleans Town offices and must be completed and turned in to the Chamber or Town Offices by NO later than Friday, Dec. 7th. Nominations of neighbors or a local business may also be emailed to historicorleans@netsurfusa.net
Participants may enter their own homes, places of business or nominate the home or shop of someone else for consideration. Judging will take place on the evening of Dec. 10th. Anyone participating in the contest is asked to have their outdoor decorations fully displayed during the hours of 6 to 9 p.m. on that date. Prizes will be awarded for best overall decorating.
