Bedford Man Sentenced To Five Years For Sexual Misconduct With Runaway Minor

(BLOOMFIELD) - A Bedford man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Greene County to a felony charge of sexual misconduct with a minor after his involvement with a runaway minor from Ohio.

According to Greene County Circuit Court 24-year-old Cody Major pleaded guilty in a negotiated plea agreement. In that agreement, a charge of sexual misconduct with a minor and a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

He pleaded guilty to one count of sexual misconduct with a minor in intercourse or other sexual conduct. He was sentenced by Judge Erik Allen to the Indiana Department of Correction for seven years, with two years suspended. He was given credit for 83 days served.
