(WASHINGTON) - After years of watching Business 50 through Washington degrade, and recent back and forth negotiations with the Indiana Department of Transportation, Washington Mayor Joe Wellman says he expects INDOT to bring a proposed agreement to repair the road at the November 13, Council meeting.
While nothing is officially settled, Mayor Wellman says the City making preparations by passing ordinances for financing.
They are also preparing to make upgrades to the city's utilities. The water and sewer lines under National Highway. The pipes that were put in during the 1930s have had seven water breaks in the lines since the first of the year.
