(WASHINGTON) - Washington County Sheriff deputies recovered a stolen vehicle and put a man behind bars for stealing it.
The 1980 Chevrolet truck used at local auctions by E.E. Martin Auctioneers was stolen on September 24 from a farm on Bata Road.
A photo of that truck was shared with local media and on Facebook.
Police says sharing the photo prompted tips.
Chief Deputy Brent Miller developed a suspect in the case and an arrest was made following an investigation.
Police arrested 55-year-old Rodney Webb, of Salem, on a charge of auto theft.
Assisting in the investigation were Sheriff Roger Newlon, Deputy Tory Hildreth, Deputy Abby Powers, and Deputy Ryan Larrimore.
