Seymour Man Arrested On Four Counts Of Child Molesting

(SEYMOUR) - Indiana State Police arrested a Seymour man on a charge of child molesting.

According to ISP Detective Jason Duncan, troopers began their investigation in May when a female reported she had been molested by 73-year-old Jerry Rice in the early to mid-nineties when she was between 3 and 9 years old.

The female told police that the incidents happened in Rice's home in rural Jackson County.

During the investigation, troopers located a second victim. That victim told police Rice had molested her in the mid-eighties in Vallonia.

On Thursday, an arrest warrant was issued for Rice. He was arrested at his residence in Jackson County on two Class A felony counts of Child Molesting and two Class C felony counts of child molesting. He is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bond until his initial hearing.
