Ramp from Southbound I-69 to Eastbound SR 46 Will Close October 22

Last updated on Friday, October 19, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - The loop ramp from southbound I-69 to eastbound SR 46 will close Monday, October 22 for pavement repairs and guardrail installation. The closure is anticipated to last two days, weather permitting.

While the ramp is closed southbound motorists can access SR 46 east of the interstate by exiting at Walnut Street or by using the 3rdStreet (SR 48) exit to return to northbound I-69 and exiting at SR 46 east.

During this time, there will also be intermittent single lane closures on SR 46 so crews can mill down and smooth out the approaches to the SR 46 bridge over I-69.

In addition, motorists should be aware of patching operations on some local roads adjacent to I-69, especially to the west of the highway. Crews will be out over the next two to three weeks doing pavement patching and repair on west Fullerton Pike, Leonard Springs Road and west Tapp Road. Flagging operations will be in place for the patching work.

The timing of the SR 46 ramp closure, SR 46 approach work and local street repairs are weather dependent and the schedule is subject to change.
