Proposed Logging At Hoosier National Forest To Be Discussed At Meeting

(BLOOMINGTON) - Proposed logging at Hoosier National Forest to be discussed.

Mike Chaveas, superintendent of the Hoosier National Forest, will speak at the Friends of Lake Monroe meeting from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Monroe County Public Library auditorium, 303 E. Kirkwood Ave.

Chaveas will provide information about the proposed Houston South Project, which as proposed, would including logging more than 4,000 acres in the Lake Monroe watershed.

Friends of Lake Monroe will live-stream the meeting on Facebook for people who cannot attend.
