Norman Man Arrested after Crashing Stolen Vehicle

(NORMAN) - A Norman man was arrested after he allegedly was in possession of a stolen 2010 Chevrolet Camaro from Lawrence County on Oct. 2.

Police arrested 39-year-old Travis Luedeman on two counts of possession of stolen property and is being held in the Jackson County jail without bond.

Luedeman is also accused of being involved in stealing a 2005 Nissan Altima reported stolen on Aug. 29 from the Medora area.

Police discovered the stolen Camero after an accident Friday at 6 a.m.

According to a press release, 72-year-old Larry A. Shirley, of Norman, was traveling east on US 50 in the Medora Knobs in his 1972 Chevrolet S10 when he came upon and struck the stolen Camaro which was parked broadside in the roadway.

Shirley suffered a head injury and was treated by Jackson County EMS personnel before being taken by ambulance to I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
