Jackson County Police arrested 44-year-old Kimberly Dawn Schuette after police say she took equipment from a construction site in the 1800 block of South State Road 13. She is being held without bond in the Jackson County Jail.

According to a press release, Jackson County officers Adam Nicholson and Rick Meyer were alerted to the theft around 11 a.m. Friday.

The caller told police he had been building a home and that his generator and rebar cutter -- valued at $3,000 -- was stolen.

Police found a name tag belonging to Schuette at the crime scene. They also found a tire impression which Jackson County Detective Bob Lucas took a cast impression of. That impression matched the tires on Schuette's black Mitsubishi Montero.

Officers obtained a warrant for Schuette's home in the 5000 block of South State Road 135, about three miles south of the theft location.

In Schuette's vehicle, police found the rebar cutter and police recovered the generator at a property on Wheeler Holler Road in Washington County after Schuette told them where it was located.

The stolen items were returned to the owner, but the case remains open and other arrests are possible.
