Linton Man Arrested, Another In Critical Condition

(LINTON) - A Linton man was shot and another was arrested on Wednesday.

Police arrested 24-year-old Jared Turner on a charge of attempted murder and robbery resulting in bodily injury.

Police and emergency responders were called to the area of 8th Street Southwest and A Street Southwest at 5:20 a.m.

When they arrived they found 24-year-old Todd Bennett Jr. with a gunshot wound. He was transported to IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he is listed in critical condition.

"This investigation is ongoing," says Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell. "Further charges may be possible as the investigation unfolds and more facts are gathered."

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.

Members of the Indiana State Police and Greene County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.
