Lawrence County Museum Of History Presents - Bloodshed On Black Friday

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Museum of History will stage its annual murder mystery walk and dinner in the Salt Creek bottoms at the Salt Creek Flea Market on Friday, Oct. 26.

Enactors will present, "Bloodshed on Black Friday," beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Halfway House Murder Stirs Quarry District

Those attending will explore the November 1909 murder of businessman George Moss, who was struck and killed with a steel buggy spindle crushing his skull.

The story will be told through witnesses, local officials and suspicious characters. A narrator will lead groups through the walk and greet the characters associated with the story of the murder.

Participants will then travel to the Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department where a supper of soups and cornbread, topped off with a dessert.

Believe Paranormal will then present findings from their investigation of the Moss murder.

Tickets for the event are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors 65 and older, and $10 for students.

Tickets can be purchased at the Lawrence County Museum of History, at 929 15th Street. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
