Volunteers Needed For Christmas Assistance Program In Washington Co.

(SALEM) - Washington County Christmas Assistance volunteers are needed for the application process on the following dates:

Volunteers are also needed for sorting and shopping Dec. 3-7 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and on distribution day, Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Salem Leader reports, last year, 369 children had a brighter Christmas thanks to CAP.

There are several ways to help:

Volunteer - Several volunteers are needed to do everything from taking applications, data entry, shop, and sort. Hours are flexible.
Sponsor- Pick up a child's shopping card, buy the items, bring them to the church and we will prepare the gifts for the distribution day.
Donate- If you don't have the time to shop or volunteer, we also take donations. 100% of the proceeds go to the children. The average cost of one child is $100.
