Tree Limb Falls Through School Bus Full Of Cheerleaders

(LINTON) - Only minor injuries were reported when a tree limb fell onto the top of a Linton/Stockton High school bus loaded with cheerleaders headed to a football game Friday.

Greene County authorities say the bus was going to a Cardinal/Ritter game at 4:22 p.m. The bus was traveling on West State Road 54 near Greene County 230 North when a tree limb fell and punctured through the roof of the bus driven by Chelsea Hawkins.

Hawkins along with 13 teens, some suffering minor injuries were evaluated at the scene.

The juveniles were released to family members and the bus was able to be driven back to Linton/Stockton High School.
