(BLOOMINGTON) - Ten Monroe County lawyers have sent applications to Gov. Eric Holcomb indicating their interest in replacing longtime Monroe Circuit Judge Kenneth Todd when he retires Oct. 15.
Judge Todd, who has served for nearly 40 years, announced his retirement this summer.
His replacement will serve until the end of 2020 when Todd's current term expires.
While both the governor and Judge Todd are Republicans, several of the applicants are Democrats.
