(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested an 18-year-old male after he dropped his wallet in the parking lot of America’s Best Value Inn while fleeing from the scene.
Police arrested 18-year-old Ernest C. Brewster III on charges of burglary and theft.
Police say as the clerk chased Brewster from the motel on North Walnut Street, Brewster tripped and fell in the parking lot, dropping most of the cash he had taken and his wallet.
The teen told police that he robbed the establishment because he needed money to pay his rent.
