(BEDFORD) - The Salvation Army office is accepting sign-ups for holiday assistance.
The office will be staffed on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Lawrence County Senior Citizens Center, at 2205 Washington Ave.
The office will accept sign-ups for Thanksgiving baskets, Angel Tree Christmas gifts and Coats for Kids each Wednesday in September.
Immediate needs on other days will continue to be handled by calling the Bedford Police Department, (812) 275-3311, and asking for Tonya Taylor or Jim McCreery.
