Last updated on Friday, September 21, 2018

(CRANE) - Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) is hosting its first-ever career fair to expand its workforce Tuesday, Oct. 11 at WestGate Academy from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Hannah Stowers, the Business Recruiter for NSWC Crane, says attendees will have the chance to speak directly with recruiters, supervisors, and human resource professionals about joining the team of more than three thousand federal civilians.

"We are looking for driven individuals ranging from students to experienced, journey-level professionals," says Stowers. "Crane is critical to our nation's defense, and we need the right talent to provide innovative solutions for the Warfighter."

NSWC Crane is seeking mechanical, computer and electrical engineers, electronics technicians, computer scientists, operations research analysts, contract specialists, finance and accounting specialists, information technology management specialists, logistics management specialists and other non-technical and business positions.

Therron Thomas, an Affinity Recruiter for NSWC Crane, says a career with NSWC Crane provides competitive compensation and numerous federal fringe benefits including insurance plans, retirement fund matching, and paid leave as well as the quality of life amenities such as camping, boating, a state-of-the-art gym, and athletic courts.

"Though these federal benefits are highly competitive, employment at Crane goes beyond a numerical value," says Thomas. "It is a career with life-long advancement and learning opportunities. Working alongside other passionate employees motivated by a common mission of serving those who serve is profoundly rewarding."

NSWC Crane has more direct hiring authority than ever before.

"With the increasing demand for a larger, skilled and diverse workforce," says Thomas, "the Crane Career Fair is an opportunity you don't want to miss."

Attendees should bring several copies of their resume and should be prepared for onsite interviews. Recent college graduates should bring transcripts and veterans should bring their DD Form 214.

This event is open to the public and participants are encouraged to register by October 5 to ensure reservation. RSVP by using this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/crane-career-fair-registration-50180984676
