Mitchell Manor's New Special Care Unit Open House Is Sept. 13

(MITCHELL) - Mitchell Manor, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, invites the community to an open house for its new secure memory care unit, on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 3 - 7 p.m.

The unit provides a safe and homelike environment for those with Alzheimer's disease or related disorders. It features 26 beds, and associates serving residents on the unit are trained in the Best Friends™ Approach to Alzheimer's care.

The grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments, door prizes, tours of the unit and a chance to meet the staff and ask questions.

The unit will officially open on Sept. 17.
