Troopers arrested 46-year-old Eric Tharp Friday on charges of domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury to a child less than 14-years-old and neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury.

Troopers located and arrested Tharp after finding him at a relatives home in Rockville. He was taken to the Parke County Jail and will be transported to the Sullivan County Jail.

Indiana State Police Detective Angie Hahn began her investigation after receiving reports from the Department of Child Services and Riley Children's Hospital over concerns of multiple fractures and other injuries the infant had suffered allegedly at the hands of her father.

The infant has since been released from the hospital. The infant and two of her siblings are now living with relatives.
