(BLOOMINGTON) - Former Indiana basketball star Brian Evans and former football star Glenn Scolnik headline the university’s new Hall of Fame class.

Evans was named the Big Ten's most valuable player in 1996 after averaging 21.2 points and 7.1 rebounds as a senior. He still ranks No. 12 all-time in school career scoring with 1,701 points.

Scolnik was the football team's MVP in 1972 when he caught 53 passes for 72 yards and six touchdowns for coach John Pont. He also was an academic All-American that season and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The other new inductees are former softball player Monica Armendarez, former women's basketball star Rachelle Bostic, former wrestler Sam Komar and Ann Lawver, a former volleyball and softball coach.

The induction ceremony will be held Nov. 9.
