(BROWNSTOWN) - A Brownstown man is recovering from two gunshot wounds to his legs.
On Sunday, at 3:40 p.m. Brownstown Police officers were called to a home at Hillview Trailer Court after a report of a gunshot victim.
When Lieutenant Joe Kelly arrived he found a 62-year-old male inside the home with serious injuries to both legs.
Lieutenant Kelly provided assistance and evidence was collected at the scene.
Brownstown Police Department has no reason to believe there is currently a threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
The Brownstown Police Department was assisted at the scene by Jackson County Ambulance Service, Brownstown Fire Department, Det. Lucas, and Deputies Burcham and McElfresh of the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
