Last updated on Monday, August 6, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - A woman walking her dog Sunday morning on North Kinser Pike found a woman trapped in her car. The woman had been trapped in the vehicle since Friday.

According to Bloomington Police, around 9 a.m. Sunday, a woman walking her dog in the 2700 block of North Kinser Pike heard a car horn. She investigated and found a woman trapped inside a vehicle.

Police say the woman's drivers door was damaged and would not open. The other doors wouldn't open because of the vegetation trapping the woman inside.

The woman told police she had been blowing her horn since the accident around 2 p.m. on Friday.

Residents in the area told police they heard a car horn, but didn't think much of it, dismissing it as a car alarm sounding.

The woman, who police say was in her 60s, was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital to be treated for dehydration. She suffered no injuries in from the accident.
