(PATOKA) - The public is invited to join the Indiana Volkssport Association during their 2018 Volksmarch Series event taking place at Patoka Lake on Saturday, August 11.
Walk the trails at the Patoka Lake Nature Center to participate in this unique event. Distances include 3.1 miles or 6.2 miles.
Participants can start anytime between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Finish time is set for 4 p.m.
Pets are welcome and must be on a leash.
Refreshments and food will be provided at the event for a small donation.
Non-members of the association can register for this sanctioned event onsite or in advance for a chance at winning a medal however those that just want to participate without registering are free to join the members at no cost.

The entrance fee of $7 per vehicle for Indiana residents ($9 out of state) is required for the Newton Stewart State Recreation Area, Patoka Reservoir, located north of Wickliffe Indiana, Highway 164.
