Two Injured After Vehicle Leaves Roadway On State Road 37 At Oolitic Light

(OOLITIC) - Two people were injured after the vehicle they were in left the roadway and flipped on its side Friday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Sheriff's Department report, 36-year-old Nash Garrett, of Bloomington, was driving his 1993 Jeep Cherokee north on State Road 37 about 1,000 feet north of Main Street when the vehicle went off the north side of the roadway causing it to flip on its side.

Garrett suffered bruising to his lower leg. His passenger, 39-year-old Melissa Clouse, of Bloomington, suffered a possible broken ankle.

Both were treated at the scene by an IU Health ambulance crew but refused to be transported.
