Last updated on Friday, August 10, 2018

(UNDATED) - Indiana Department of Transportation’s contractor for installing six deck overlays on bridges in Brown, Johnson, Morgan and Monroe Counties plans to begin work early next week at the State Road 45/Old State Road 37 overpass spanning Cascade Road, located one mile east of State Road 37 at Bloomington.

Motorists will be restricted to a single lane controlled by traffic signals at either end of the work zone.

INDOT officials advise drivers to anticipate delays. State Road 45's traffic count in 32,700 vehicles per day.

Weddle Brothers of Evansville, the state's contractor for this $548,548 bridge rehabilitation project, will proceed to the State Road 135 bridge at Gnaw Bone Creek near Nashville once operations at Bloomington have been completed.

Flaggers will direct traffic around the State Road 135 worksite.

Meanwhile, Weddle crews are completing deck overlays at the twin State Road 37 bridges over Bluff Creek near Waverly.

Traffic has been normalized at the State Road 39 White River bridge near Martinsville and the State Road 67 Lambs Creek bridge near Centerton. Remaining work will be done with occasional flagging.
