Patoka Lake Shore Cleanup On Saturday, August 25

Last updated on Thursday, August 2, 2018

(PATOKA) - Fun in the sun at Patoka leaves a lot more behind than just summer memories. It results in trash and debris buildup along the lakeshore.

Park officials need your help to restore the lake to its pristine condition for wildlife safety and people to enjoy. Help remove trash and debris from the shores of Patoka Lake on Saturday, August 25th from 8am - 1p.m.

Sign-in begins at 8a.m. at US Army Corps of Engineers Office, next to the Dam/Spillway, with trash pickup to follow.

All participating volunteers will be rewarded with a FREE lunch at the Army Corps Office starting at 11 a.m. Door prize will also be awarded. Last year volunteers went home with tickets to Shotz laser tag and putt putt golf, Patoka Lake Marina lake cruises, life jackets, t-shirts, Frisbees, rain collection barrels and prize packets.

Volunteers should wear sturdy walking shoes. All supplies will be provided, just bring your family, friends, students and club members.

For more information, please call Whitney at the Patoka Lake Nature Center at (812) 685- 2447.
