Minnick Found Guilty Of Conflict Of Interest, Official Misconduct

Last updated on Sunday, August 26, 2018

(SPENCER) - Donnie Minnick was found guilty on two counts of conflict of interest and official misconduct on Friday.

Minnick, 63, is the president of Owen County's three-member Board of Commissioners, which governs the county. His second term concludes at the end of this year.

Judge Teresa Harper found Minnick guilty of deceiving county officials and profiting from selling his semi tractor-trailer to the county using a middleman, a worker on his Gosport farm.

Minnick kept $2,500 from a broken-down county-owned semi he sold for scrap when the engine blew.

Minnick's sentencing is set for September 28.
