(CRANE) - The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) intends to issue a Hazardous Waste Management Class 3 Permit Modification to Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center.
This permit modification will allow for the addition of an Ammunition Peculiar Equipment 2271, Super Pull-Apart Machine (SPAM) hazardous waste treatment unit.
The draft permit modification and related documents are available for review at the Bedford Public Library and the IDEM virtual file cabinet at www.IN.gov/idem/ .
The IDEM is seeking public comments before a final decision is made to issue the permit modification. Written comments on the draft permit may be sent to the IDEM and must be postmarked no later than September 17, 2018.
