(ODON) - Stratasys, a global leader in 3D printing, will present and display the latest Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology at WestGate Academy on Tuesday, Sept. 4th.
Stratasys builds and designs technologies used to create prototypes, manufacturing tools, and production parts for industries, including aerospace, automotive, health care, consumer products and education.
Jesse Roitenberg, the national education manager at Stratasys, says that in order for companies across industries to stay ahead, they should be aware of the latest 3D printing technology.
"With the adoption of Additive Manufacturing in the areas of manufacturing, health care and education in the past five years," says Roitenberg, "it is imperative for leading companies to understand how the AM process can impact your day-to-day activities in product design, prototyping, manufacturing, training and research."
Samantha Nelson, the program manager for Purdue@WestGate, says multiple regional organizations will complement Stratasys' presentation by displaying their own technology including Indiana State University, Ivy Tech Community College and 1st Makers Space.
"We are excited to have Stratasys in our region," says Nelson. "Having the latest in AM technology at WestGate will allow regional companies opportunities to grow."
Roitenberg will be discussing the implementation of additive manufacturing on a broad scale and showcasing some of the company's own designs.
