(UNDATED) - An increase in incidents of bullying is being reported by the Indiana Department of Education.
Schools reported a significant increase in written/electronic bullying.
There were 433 of those incidents in 2016-2017.
However, there were 2,446 incidents of written/electronic bullying documented in 2017-2018.
Schools reported a total of 5,604 bullying incidents for the 2017-2018 school year, a 24 percent increase from the 2016-2017 school year when there were 4,516 reported bullying incidents.
