BMV Announces Half-Price Tickets And Main Street Motorcycle Parking At Indiana State Fair

Last updated on Friday, August 3, 2018

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is proud to host BMV Discount Day on Thursday, Aug. 9 at the Indiana State Fair. Visitors receive half-price admission at the gate by printing the coupon available at IN.gov/BMV.

"The BMV's presence at the Indiana State Fair has been a tradition for many years and we are happy to offer half-price admission and sponsor BMV Discount Day," said BMV Commissioner Peter L. Lacy. "Hoosiers can stop by the full-service BMV mobile branch or our BMV Connect kiosk in the Expo Hall to complete routine transactions or upgrade to a Real ID."

Additionally, Sunday, Aug. 5 is Ride Safe Indiana (RSI) Day at the Fairgrounds. The first 100 motorcyclists who enter through Gate 6 may park their bike on Main Street inside the fairgrounds. RSI is the BMV's motorcycle safety program which aims to train motorcyclists and educate motorists across the state.

"This is our third year hosting Ride Safe Indiana Day and we hope to see Main Street filled with motorcycles," Lacy said. "RSI will have a booth on Main Street and the RSI trailer will be located on State Fair Boulevard. We encourage everyone to stop by to learn more about enrolling in a motorcycle safety course."
