The driver, 44-year-old Michael Drane, of Pekin, was flown by helicopter to University of Louisville Hospital, while his passenger, 37-year-old Elizabeth Sievert, of Louisville, Ky was transported by ground ambulance to University of Louisville Hospital.

Sievert advised officers that they were traveling west on Hurst Road, on a 2013 Harley Davisson, when Drane lost control of the motorcycle, while navigating through a right hand turn. Sievert says she thought loose debris on the roadway caused Drane to lose control of the motorcycle.

Deputy Tory Hildreth is investigating the crash and was assisted by Conservation Officer Neal Brewington, members of the Pierce/Polk Volunteer Fire Department and the Washington County Ambulance Service.
