Last updated on Sunday, July 1, 2018

(WASHINGTON) - Indiana Department of Transportation’s contractor is scheduling crews to being operations at a bridge replacement site on State Road 160 near South Boston on Thursday, weather permitting.

At that time, the highway will close for up to 30 days. INDOT's state highway detour reroutes motorists via State Road 135, State Road 56 and U.S. Highway 31.

Weddle Brothers, Indiana's contractor for this $542,430 bridge replacement project, will remove and replace the State Road 160 structure over a branch of Blue River located 5.6 miles east of State Road 60. The new structure will be a pre-cast reinforced concrete 3-sided structure with a 28-foot span.
