Residents, Cat Safe After Fire At Good Samaritan Apartments

(JASONVILLE) - Jasonville Fire Department, Jasonville Police Department and Wright Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to a minor fire at the Shakamak Good Samaritan Apartments Thursday night around 10 p.m.

The Greene County Daily World reports, everyone got out safely and there was minimal damage to property.

According to Jasonville Assistant Fire Chief Mike Duckworth, around 10 p.m., first responders were called to a structure fire at one of the apartments. It originated on the stove and was extinguished by Jasonville Police Officer Dustin Cane when he arrived on scene.

Officer Cain also helped evacuate residents from the home.
