Police Release Name of Those Involved in Shooting in Sulphar

(SULPHUR) - Indiana State Police detectives have released the names of those involved in the shooting incident on Easy Street, but few details on what happened.

The shooting was reported around 2 p.m. at the home of 63-year-old Terry Olliges in the 25000 block of Easy Street, south of Sulphur.

Police say 29-year-old Gregory Peals, of Louisville, KY. died and 28-year-old Ricky Phipps, of Magnet, suffered a gunshot wound.

Police say all efforts by Indiana State trooper to locate and notify Peals relatives have so far been unsuccessful. They are asking anyone acquainted with the Peals is asked to contact the ISP Jasper Post at (800) 742-7474 or (812) 482-1441.

ISP Sgt. Robert Lambert says the incident remains under investigation and the facts and circumstances will be reviewed by the Crawford County Prosecutor's Office to determine if criminal charges will be filed.
