New Laws Addressing Addiction

(INDIANAPOLIS) - This year, House Republicans passed many new laws addressing addiction. State Rep. Denny Zent (R-Angola) explains a new law he sponsored modernizing and strengthening INSPECT, Indiana’s prescription drug monitoring program.

Zent also sponsored a new law requiring county coroners to investigate suspected overdose deaths. Rep. Tony Cook (R-Cicero) sponsored a new law expanding the number of people eligible to administer life-saving, intervention drugs to help those experiencing a drug overdose.
